Classes resume
This morning holds a return to nursing school classes for those in our program. We have been told numerous times that this will be our most difficult semester. The adjectives brutal and horrendous have been used. It is a challenge not to be intimidated and nervous with such for warnings. However, I am excited about obstetrics and pediatrics because I believe I will use in Africa, what I learn this semester, more than any other material.
My internship at St. Mary's Hospital will have at least, in part, given me a head's up on the subjects. I find the women's and children's department to hold very positive experiences for most of the women and hopeful experiences for most of the pediatric patients. I feel I have already learned a great deal.
We'll see! I'm diving in!
